Asus is working on the 580 MARS card. Another 1000 run, ($1000 dollar card?). Triple slot and as big as a house.

If it doesn't beat a 6990, then uber fail.....

Considering the pricing/performance ratio of cards nowadays, $1000 for the MARS II seems adequate.

Oh, it'll beat a 6990 in everything. The current GTX 590 has about the same performance (up or down, depending on benchmark) with its current clocks, so a full speed version will blow away the 6990. :D If you then overclock the MARS...

Benchmark Scores no one cares anymore lols

it easily beats both the 590 and the 6990 but I'm a little dissapointed they didn't compare it to 580 sli.

power is off the charts, but that's to be expected for this uber extremist kind of card.

I find it interesting that they used my cpu (the i7 950), makes it easier to compare, and it seems my 480's at stock are able to best it in many scenarios. this makes me think the card is still 13-15% slower than 580 sli.
