I wouldn't be surprised if the trailer was of a rouge N7 agent gone bad like Saren in ME1.

I think the character is not important like "Major Coats" in the ME3 teaser.

I hate to say it because I absolutely LOVED the ME trilogy, but I do think this game franchise has now been officially moved to the full mainstream treatment, the same treatment we saw in DA: Inquisition.

Which means...

- repetitive gameplay and near-infallible customization and progression, resulting in boring combat
- boring narrative
- lacking protagonist (13-in a dozen crap)
- loads and loads of empty/filler content

But maybe, just maybe they will have learned a bit from The Witcher 3 on how to do an open world in a good way. I have my doubts, given Bioware's recent releases.

The trailer speaks volumes to me; action oriented, jump across my screen stupidity with zero hooks to an enticing storyline.

We cannot deny Bioware releases have seen ongoing simplification ever since ME1. I really hope they turn that around someday. As promising as they first presented DA:I, it was still a repetitive letdown with failed MMO influences.

I've never actually seen that trailer. Looks like it could have been a promising DLC of London based on that character.

The concept of a rogue N7 agent was mentioned. I was wondering if maybe they're going to make the protagonist a vigilante of sorts, whom is aiming to track down an alien race that destroyed a former colony he was part of before joining N7. Maybe he steals a ship and recruits a crew along the way. Might he'd even find that one of the colonist was a mole working for Cerberus or some similar organization, which lead to the attack.

it was the first Mass Effect 3 teaser made for the Spike VGA awards.

I watched the trailer another 50 times.. lol

i'm convinced there will be some kind of new Omni-blade/tool special moves for each class like Destiny and a new ship propulsion system. the only thing bumming me out is the reaper sound effect.

EA is the publisher.
Bioware is the developer.

Not sure if trolling, or honest mistake.

He is still on the money, literally, because EA funds Bioware releases.

You can read that as: EA makes the business decisions. And we all know they extend to in-game design choices these days, most of which are horrifying.

This new ME is obviously a shameless milking attempt, the trilogy was finished and they haven't had the guts to truly introduce a new 'trilogy' or similar concept. Which means they are going to test the waters again, see how the milk holds.

This is the exact same approach as they took for DA:I.

I see nothing wrong with it, there are dozens of RPG/actionRPG with a medieval/fantasy setting. You can count space themed RPGs on one hand. I cant wait for it togheter with Cyberpunk 2077 and DeusEx: Mankind Divided.

Perhaps you need to read that one more time. The original picture is listed in my post, and includes Ubisoft. It was edited to show EA after my post.

Yes it was..The concept still holds true, however.
Shameless milking.
EA/UBI...can anyone tell me the difference in their MO?
Because I don't see one, myself.

Please, allow me some perspective.

I don't want to insult you, I just want to make it clear that I'm not being a fool. You altered the original post, and made no notation that it was altered. In the very next line, @Vayra86 indicated that I was either being pedantic, or incorrect, because the new picture reads EA. I believe their point was that EA is inextricably linked to Bioware, a point I don't contest. I don't even contest that the business practices of EA and Ubisoft are all that different. When the goal posts change mid-conversation it is necessary to make sure everyone is still playing the same game, which is what my comments were made for.

Never noticed that it said Ubi, and I also pointed more towards the fact that EA decides the course its developers follow. Just as Ubisoft corporate decisions destroy Ubisoft developer game concepts. There is no difference really.

Ninja edits I am no fan of either.

Best RPG ever as far as immersion goes, felt like a movie not a game..... The acting was just that good and characters had so much depth......(imho :)).

Wish Bethesda could do the same with Fallout and Skyrim... Looking at the E3 trailer doesn't seem promising....Wastlander voicing sounded rather wooden.....

Again, we are on the same page. EA's policies set the tone for its developers. Likewise, EA and Ubisoft are the same side of one coin. I honestly think we agree on everything, but the editing has muddied the water. I wanted to make it clear that there are no differences of opinion (or hard feeling if that even applies), only a different understanding of the same situation.

I love the symbolism of passing the torch! It's especially nice to hear Jennifer Hale's voice since I akways played FemShep.

I hope it is good. I really hope it doesn't become online based or feature lots of grinding. More stations with more high quality side quests or things to do on said stations? Yes, I want that. Lots of repetitive busy work? No thanks.

little easter egg in the trailer somebody found

the dog tags read Rider or Ryder. remember the Johnny Cash song from the trailer?

Yanick Roy did acknowledge in a recent tweet "there are very good reasons for that choice of song for the trailer that should become clear later on".
