Nothing has been proven yet is the point there. It happens with both memory types.

My card is using Micron VRAM.I'm using monitor speaker on the DP cable.Sometimes my headphones give sound but monitor speaker doesn't.

Not really, no. You would need active cooling for it to do something noticeable really. The key is airFLOW. A bit of more CFM in or out will not show much of a difference. Put a fan on them exhausting in taking in air and you will.

I'v now completed a custom vented PCI slot for one of my cards. You are right, there not a lot of difference, & the cooling performance is very small. Nevertheless, it's a tiny gain. I just wish I could also add this to my wi-fi card.

My Gigabyte WF3 2070 doesn't show any symptoms yet. And it runs oc to +860 mem, so I will know if it degrades.

I hoped that 2 months would be enough to manifest any problems and clear the card as safe well beyond warranty expires.

If it doesnt happen in 6 months from purchase, its most likely safe. That said I think it degrades memory OCed or not, so no point trying to damage it faster.

mine didnt degrade gradually.. it ran just like new for about two and half months then something happened.. it did a hard system reset and after that went downhill rapidly.. i kept it going a couple of days longer by down-clocking the memory but in the end it just shut down to the desk top every time i tried to use it..

same as trog: bought a second hand RTX 2070 on april, the former owner bought it on february.

We're in june and the card worked great for a month but 3 days ago Titanfall 2 / Rage 2 started to crash after playing only 3 minutes.

MSI Kombustor would produce heavy artefacts after 3 minutes too.

Return to reseller pending...

It's too soon to say. I contacted the former owner of the card and so far he sent me the RMA autorization.

The card will be handled by the reseller, and beyond this point i don't know what will happen.

Hopefully i won't wait 2 months to see the end of the tunnel !
