system: water cooled ... so temps are not a problem
920 D0
ASUS Rampage II GENE
3x2gb Mushkin
Corsair HX750

I am thinking ....

vcore - 1.4
QPI - 1.25
DRAM - 1.65
CPU PLL - 1.88
NB - 1.39

what do you all think?

Qpi will most likely need to be 1.3-1.35 to get decent clocks, and nb shouldn't need to be that high. I've never had to go above 1.3 with it, even at high base clock and high ram speed.

so fix those 2 and the others will be fine for 24/7?

Dont see why not, but if you are stable with 1.25 for qpi, then do it.

i dont ... but its max 'normal' v for the board so i put that juuuuust in case haha

trying to find max safe v for 24/7 so i can get the most of the available 4.68GHz OC out of this chip
(bclck shut me down after that :nutkick:)

you are getting 4.68 out of that chip with those voltages?

I would seriously like to see that.

Thats a blck of 222 on a 21x multi.
Which i find very hard to believe on a R2G.

not with the voltages above ... i got 4.65 for my max on 1.54v (bclk wall kicked in then)

yep ;)

but now i just wanna know safe 24/7 volts so i can find my max OC with them

the lower the better.

that has always been my rule of thumb.

but seriously... find a spot where u notice voltage increase becomes more exponental then linear, and that should be your end point.

Unless you have one hell of an awesome chip, you'll notice this exponential voltage factor @ or near 1.425-1.475

Thats about the most id push on a D0.
However u better have one mean cooling on it @ that range.

well i was reading on intel spec finders site that max vcore for D0 of was 1.375 ...
but ya when i had it up to 4.5GHz'ish max temps were high 60's low 70's like 72 max but that was also more than 1.375 volts too

my WC setup keeps it nice and cool
