Mechanical Keyboard Problems Anyone?

I've had 3 mechanical keyboards in the past 4 years...all of them have had the same problem with 1 keypress spitting out multiple characters.
I thought maybe since my core i7 920 system was a senior citizen, that it may have something to do with that, but then I tried them on my Ryzen 7 system and same thing.
I had 2 corsair k90s and a gkskill rgb. All three were pieces of crap. What gives?

Anyone else have this problem? How do you solve it other than running it over in the driveway?

I see so many cool looking keyboards, but I dont want to spend the money only to go through that shit again...

Only problem I have is it gets dirty and its a pain to clean. I had maybe 6. Sometime they will act funny when i spill a drink on it. But nothing a good cleaning wont fix

All of mine started doing this within a week of buying them. I've never spilled anything on them or anything.
I probably should have sent them all back.

It's really ironic how this cheap lenovo membrane keyboard I stole from work is the best keyboard I've had in years. LOL

They were all bought brand new from newegg.

I was planning on changing my aged corsair raptor K50 (membrane) and planned to buy something else from Corsair (RGB strafe?) since this one worked for me flawlessly for last 5 years I think and now some plastic is finally wearing off (wide keys even bounce support plastic parts).

Are mechanical keyboards really malfunctioning so much?

I only had one keyboard do this ever, and I have had my hands on tons of them. The one board I did have it with, it was kailh switch based (came down to a bad switch under the R key.) That is over 100 mechanical keyboards with only one instance. It seems you may have had a string of bad luck, and you should have returned them.

The mechanical keyboard game is strong, and with so many boards to choose from, I'd try it again.

I would still try it, and just return if it continues.

I have had it with all of them i have owned ( 4 ) and found that blue switches were the worse although always been solvable with some CRC cleaner or alike DeOxit. but this area is dusty due to living near a river and industrial area.

But never with a new one, to have a few of them i would check the windows keyboard repeat speed.

Try cleaning it thorough.Mech keyboards are more sensitive than membrane.
