2.palm rest
3. no made in china garbage this means no 'offbrand' switches or chingclone units
4.media key functionality is a plus

newegg is out of stock of pretty much everything due to the switch shortage,the mouse I can get any-ware
so far I have looked at the following
razer black-widow ultimate:rejected because razer ...
corsair K70: seemly prone to LED/key failure
Logic-tech G710+: key failure
ducky shine: do want, but outside my budget

Well if ya get one you might want to not plug it or any other in a USB3 connector as i have a hell of a time due to it. Maybe the issue is not their with newer chipsets but i know for a fact though trail and error it's been the USB3 that makes a lot fail ( key fail not leds ).

For a mouse even being left handed i would opted for a Logitech mouse due to warranty as they always fail on my 6-14 in months ( double click ).

I got one of him some 6 month ago ( Tesoro ) and working 100% no key issue or lighting, not the same keyboard but normally found around the 60-$70 mark and has the same switches.

They're actually owned by Amazon since back in 2010, and other than a bit slow to ship (no prime shipping crossover

), pretty solid, and customer service is good on the few times I've had an issue.

I don't want anything wireless they have to much input lag
I play quake 3 a lot still any kind of input lag is a no no
not sure how I feel about china rippoff switches
went to best buy and test drove a couple switches, the blues are a bit hard I really like the browns but nobody has them,reds really don't feel all that much better then the membrane I been using

That Tesoro I linked is on browns, the company is part of Max Keyboard. I have a G1N here, been using it for about 18 months without fault.

They have 6 key roll over on USB, and full rollover on PS2. Other than that the keys are rather unremarkable, No back light, Basic media buttons. The board itself is soild and doesn't bend or warp as you type. It's got a nice weight to it with the keys on a metal plate that is housed in the plastic case. The overall finish is nice, it looks like brushed aluminium but is actually black plastic.

I liked mine enough that I went and got the matching mouse for it. And again it's a rather unremarkable device, That looks good and has lasted 18 months without fault.

nice but I can't afford to spend ~180 on a keyboard ~120 is pushing my budget
