looks good, but kinda slow, the other mech warriors there was more movement, dodging stuff and whatnot.

I believe it is.

Currently in development for the PC and Xbox 360, the new game, dubbed MechWarrior, is being produced by Piranha Games in collaboration with Weisman. The new title, developed using the Unreal Engine 3, will server as a reboot of the MechWarrior franchise.

the 'slow' factor was probably just for the video.

Despite being called a gameplay trailer, you can tell it isnt - the closeup of the drone and so on, just shows it isnt. This is a mix of FMV and gameplay (then again, it may well be an in-game custscene/intro movie, using pre-rendered in game footage)

I assume Microsoft is going to publish it which means the PC release will follow Xbox 360 release by a long time (months, at minimum).

Unreal Engine 3? There are crap games with 3 (like Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust) and excellent games (like Mass Effect). It really depends on how much effort they put in to it. I just hope it is mostly open environments like all the previous MechWarrior games but, knowing how the XBox 360 has very little in the way of RAM, the maps are going to be small and/or very restricted.

Again, I don't expect much.

i thk the maps would be diff for PC or at least i would hope. If not wouldn't the community be able to make maps? so i don't thk small maps will be an issue for the PC version.

Urban combat. Kind of hard to move fast and quick between buildings in 75-100 ton mechs. They did exactly what they should have using their terrain (buildings).

I just hope it doesn't suffer from a bad case of consolitis, and I hope it will be more replayable than CoD4, despite them saying they want to follow the single player campaign concept of CoD....

It does look absolutely amazing as far as the visuals go. I want a MAD-3R in that game, badly.

To slow ?. you only seen to mechs lol.. Which one looked like the Atlas which was slow as it carried so many guns\armor.

Love to see another Mech game just for the SP. Don't have much hope for COOP but ya never know

Its an ingame recording so expect the same graphics.
I just hope they improve the missile explosions and expand the mission territories to include deserts and much more.

I never played any Mech game on PC but this one looks AWESOME! All I ever played was the Front Mission series on PS1 and Chromehounds on 360 (decent game folks) I love the look of this game, It'll be on my long list of games to get!

Of course the gameplay is like that.. The Atlas is the highest mech around and you see how small that other one is ?.

Gameplay in that vid looks very good as it will depend what you are up against as if he did not use those buildings and the right setup Atlas he be dead in one shot. Like 2 PPC's on the Atlas would of ripped right though that little mech. Never mind all the lasers it could of been setup with also.

The Atlas was some thing like 100 ton mech and the one down of it if my memory serves me right was the daishi.

That little one which looked like a 30-40ton has barely any chance.

You just need some tactics is all...
