Memory Confusion

So my next simple question I have relates to memory speed. In PUBG this is showing as 5540Mhtz, whilst in Gigabyte Aorus this is showing as 11080Mhtz. I understand this because it's double data rate memory so will effectively run at twice the rated speed.
However I can't get my head around what GPU-Z is showing me. It's displaying a memory speed of 1385Mhtz which is exactly a quarter of the memory speed. Why is it showing me this rather than the actual speed of the memory?

GPU-Z shows the real speed without the Double Data Rate that DDR mean

as for Aorus software it's not MHz but Gbps

Thank GB
Not sure I agree. Aorus is definately showing memory speed in Mhtz. Check the screen shot I added.
Also why is CPU-Z showing me a quarter the real speed? 5540/1385 = 4

Not sure I agree. Aorus is definately showing memory speed in Mhtz. Check the screen shot I added.
The real clock frequency is 1385 MHz, which is what GPU-Z shows.

The effective transfer rate is 4 times of that because 4 bits get transferred per cycle. This should be listed as Mbps or Gbps, Gigabyte simply doesn't understand the difference

It's actually QDR not DDR, for dGPU that is.
GDDR5/5X is still DDR but indeed it's Quad Data Rate for the actual number ;)

MSI afterburner usually show only the double of GPU-Z which is DDR and then the final is x2 that which is QDR but no matter

Stick to 1 thread relating to the gpu please
