I have a question about these mobos; they are rated to 1333 but it says 1600
O.C. my question: does that apply to just dual channel or can i O.C. all 4 memory sticks that high?

Reason im asking is bc i have seen other mobos that only allow you to run 2 memory sticks at higher speeds. If i had to choose id rather use 1333 quad channel vs 1600 in dual channel mode.

Your board has a 1600mhz memory divider. If your ram is capable of 1600mhz on an AMD rig, set it to 1600mhz and set the timings and voltage properly. You will probablly run into trouble with 4 sticks not being able to reach 1600mhz. Maybe not, it depends on compatability. Only thing you can do is try.

i haven't bought any ram yet but i think ill get the quad kit @1333 and oc to 1600, if it doesnt work i'll put it back to 1333 no harm no foul where if i bought 2 dual kits at 1600 and it not work, then id have to downclock it plus the quadkit is priced so nice.

thanx for the info.

But you can normally get better timings with faster memory running at slower speeds so the 1600 would still be the better choice IMO..
