Hello all. New to this forum.

I have 8 RX 580 and when they are all connected and running GPU-Z shows as 4 Hynix and 4 Samsung. When I disconnect all but keep one connected they all show as Samsung. How is this possible? I shut down then connect the the second one and so forth. All were connected to the Primary PCI-e slot but all show as Samsung when booted alone. I reconnected all 8 and bang 4 Hynix and 4 Samsung again.

Is this normal or whats the deal here? All card are factory and were brand new. Using latest GPU-Z I downloaded today.

Different stock keeping units and revisions, even bios files being detected, sounds like you have different cards.

Is anything unstable? If not I wouldn't worry about it

Double-check with another tool - AIDA64, HWiNFO, GPUCapsViewer etc. to rule out a bug in GPU-Z

Any chance the other four cards are sleeping in ULPS low power state?

Thanks, I will try these other tools to confirm and let you know. I dont believe they are in low power state but I will also confirm that.
