Memory upgrade

I have one more question!!!
In my motherboard bios I have to options,
First - to increase memory frequency
To 2133 without do anything extra to the ram and it works!

Second one - to enable XMP and ram work at 2133 too!

So both way work, which one should I use?

If your RAM has a XMP profile (which it most likely does), set it to XMP. XMP will set the frequency, timings, and voltage that the RAM is supposed to operate at.

Doesn't matter. You'll want two sticks of memory that are the same as the ones you already have if you want the best results. Your ability to overclock might go out the window when you start mixing DIMMs because timings will be different and the capabilities of the two different kinds of DRAM modules you have might limit it, even mixing two sets of the same speed memory by the same vendor as timings and voltages could be different.

The new DIMMs will take on the overclock of the one you already had unless the BIOS resets itself because of the hardware change, in which case you'll need to redo your overclock. Your max OC 4.5ghz, is like Haswell - Devils Canyon @ 4.2Ghz, and you can OC 4790K to 4.7 - 4.8ghz np, also you can upgrade to Broadwell later if you wished so, now you're stuck at 2-3year old IvyBridge.

I would reset the BIOS when adding the new memory anyways.

i overclocked my CPU to 5.0 but I decided to leave it at 4.5 because i didnt want to stress it that much, btw i love IvyBridge and for me is fine to be stuck at 2-3 year old with the Ivy, it doesnt bother me

If you have your OC profile saved it's usually best to clear CMOS after a HW change. That gives the board a chance to set and recognize the hardware. Then just apply the OC from your profile and good to go.

i overclocked my CPU to 5.0 but I decided to leave it at 4.5 because i didnt want to stress it that much, btw i love IvyBridge and for me is fine to be stuck at 2-3 year old with the Ivy, it doesnt bother me

I would take an E5 IVB-E Xeon over a Haswell E3 Xeon any day of the week. More cores almost always trumps on servers, not to mention the E5s support dual CPU configurations. Then don't forget about the E7s, plenty of cores to go around there.

That's kind of what I mean, Intel has a completely different CPU segment specifically for server environment. Obviously based on the rest of their CPU core architectures, etc.

That's not even remotely close to what we are talking. More or less we are poking fun at you about your claim that Haswell is for servers. When really that claim seems to be purely buyers remorse. Making a lame excuse as to why you don't like a newer better product, to satisfy any reasoning as to why you bought what you have.

I have to admit that Haswell technology is better than Ivybridge and SandyBridge, I was reading on the internet and I have to admit once again that what I said was wrong, what I said a few months ago was not an excuse to buy what i have, If I bought once again Ivybridge it's because at the moment I don't feel to change from Ivybridge to Haswell even knowing that Haswell it's better.
