I have one more question!!!
In my motherboard bios I have to options,
First - to increase memory frequency
To 2133 without do anything extra to the ram and it works!

Second one - to enable XMP and ram work at 2133 too!

So both way work, which one should I use?

Use the XMP profile unless you plan to OC the RAM to higher speeds.

Then just use the XMP profile and you'll be good to go.

I know it's stupid to ask but is there any guide from where I can start learning about how to overclock the Ram

When I enable the XMP profile it's set just the voltage or timing an latency too?

It sets up everything for the memory.

They are 2133 but I wanted it higher, now are set it up to 2240

if you want to overclock memory, increased based on real memory clocks. From 2133 should be going to 2400 then 2666. For 2400, disable xmp all together, and then you have to input voltage, memory frequency, and timings manually.

Give me some time till my next study break and I'll give you my setting that I use for 2400.

Settings to try for 2400.

Frequency: 2400
Voltage: 1.65
Timings: 10-12-12-31 214 1T

You might need to increase System Agent (VCCSA) voltage a bit.

Okay, then leave it. Make sure to change the one 3 digit timing to 214 if its not and Command Rate to 1T.

You are already hat 1.65v on the memory, but it is okay to take it to 1.7v if you need too. Set VCCSA to 1.20v, so so its on an explicit voltage, not auto, should help with stability too.

Though, im not sure its worth the hassle, seeing how 2133mhz is really the sweet spot IMO.

Ok thanks,
When I am done at work and I am at home I will set it as you told me.

I was reading that lower timings are better,
It's that right?

Well do you think it's better to leave it at 2240 or set it back to default 2133?

2240 is kind of weird clock IMO. You won't notice anything with it over 2133.

We don't have the same BIOS but this might help. Its usually the 2nd timing you can change of the Secondary Timings for memory.

We don't have the same BIOS but this might help. Its usually the 2nd timing you can change of the Secondary Timings for memory.

in a few minutes i come back.

Dunno looks like some memory training mode, mode1 using such timings, mode2 such - one of these should use more tight though..

Maybe test each and check if anything changed after each reboot? Ie Secondary timings.

btw its Dram REF cycle time (tREF) yours is @ 287 atm, you can switch to command rate 1T though..

Mine @ auto 2133mhz defaults to tRFC 171? I think, @ 2400mhz OC to tRFC193, but I raised it to 214, had stabler fps this way.

2133mhz gets ~ 32.7gb/s read in aida64
2400mhz gets ~ 36.1gb/s read if you're lucky and have proper 3rd timings, if I left mine at auto and mem training on it would vary between 35.7 - 35.9gb/s

Not stable. I never said the settings would work 100%. You might have to play with it.

Id honestly just run stock 2133.
