Metro exodus crashing?

is it just me or is metro exodust crashing for every one?
for me it literly turns my pc off when you are at the rotating train platform
all other games like resident evil 2. fallout 76. 3d mark 11 seems to be running fine even my render software works fine
i shecked my temps cpu is it 60/65c max load gpu at 60ish

I found that DX12 used to hard lock my machine, DX11 works fine though
Not sure if they've patched it out by now

Hmm try display driver uninstaller and fresh drivers

What about Your GPU is it OC?
I Finished Metro and It was fun....and yeah I noticed that when my GPU was to much OC it could cause crashing experince and BSOD....just do the safe OC or do not OC at all and you should be fine....

What does Event Viewer say, if anything? PC just turning off like that sounds like maybe a PSU issue.. huh.. maybe the PSU is overheating, and Exodus puts just that much load on it..just a thought.

i have no overclocks the only overclock im using is the turbo future. i need to sheck out the psu . gona try to run metro with all fans ramped up to a 100%.
i am planing to replace all thermal paste this week once i got my package. waiting for artic silver 5 needs a refresh any way

Well...honestly your temps looks just fine but yeah as Metro is high demanding game it draws a lot of power from GPU&CPU so yeah PSU could be the source of the problem.....GL

Repasting makes absolutely no difference especially not with the temperatures you reported just now, don't bother, save the tube for a rainy day.

As for the Metro problem... I'm not seeing much that could be suspect really, except the software itself and/or GPU drivers.

We're looking at an 1100W PSU here... pushing a measly 580.

Yes but other demanding software does work fine, so you can safely eliminate that.

Troubleshooting does not mean read half the OP and jump to conclusions. I see it all the time here... people just wildly say 'swap parts' and 'hardware suspect' as a first resort. Just don't, it doesn't help anyone and it is not troubleshooting or analysis, its just random commentary.

In this case it's not that intuitive a problem. If there were error codes we'd have something to go on. Not likely to be Windows 7 problem though.

@Morgoth
Have you tried updating or uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers? Based on what you've said so far it seems a good place to start.

Well If you read my first post I suggest that might be the GPU OC but other member suggest that could be the PSU....and yeah fair enough it acts as it is some issue with power supply that does not mean we are 100% certain that this is the root of the problem.....I just said it could be....we are all here to suggest and try to help to the OP....

ok im gona update this thread here in a while
i just runned 2 benchmark and updated the software on amd drivers (19.2.3)
runned firestrike (11.335 score) and sky diver (27.743) tough those benchmarks arent even tryng to push my cpu to a 100% just around 20% one each cpu. only pushes to 80% on pure cpu related test while gpu is idling

some screenshots of the temps after and before firestrike benchmark

im gona start metro now and see if there is any changes

edite ok im in metro now staring at the train for 5 min seems all so good now 56 fps gpu load 100% 71c cpu0 @ 40/60% load cpu1 @ 20/40% load

after some shooting it seemed all fine. but once i get to that second lader. the damn game crashes my pc . only at that point ingame i can play from start all the way up to the rotating platform fine but only near that lader it crashes

im gona give it another try with hairworks off

Game is new, I'd suggest checking out 4A bug reports / forums for either a known bug or workarounds.

I completed my first play through in about 20 hours without a single crash or lockup. DX12, RTX on high, all settings on ultra (or whatever max was called).

only had one crash and I'm at chapter 7, the game is extremely stable for me (no stuttering)
