I usually dial the ingame sensitivity right back and keep the DPI on my mouse sky high but thats just me, Its always how ive done it, even since the days of CoD1 & my Logitech G7. I might give that 2400 DPI a go one day

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
Well apart from the mice with Z Axis issues - Because youre gonna want to avoid them anyway. that kinda narrows the list down further and it becomes a case of what kind of games you play. Some of these mice are optical and some of them have low DPI compared to other mice which bumps them down to MMO/RPG grade mice and not really suitable for fps games. Im not saying you cant use a 2000DPI for fps games but thats too slow for me.
wich means avoiding all razer mouse because they all have Z axis issue... ahahah i like that statement. avoid them at all cost ;)

now my recommendation grow a bit

highly : still G700/700+
mildly : Mionix Naos (because its a pretty awesome and comfortable mouse)
last resort: R.A.T. 7 (i had one i never had any axis issue with it plus it was pretty nice on the feeling and customisation) oh wait metal and corrosion ... forget that one

Naga owned 2 both laser sensor fried 2nd got the 12 thumb pad bug wich make all 12 button to be continuously pressed at the same time, Orochi 1 sensor fried (during a "on battery" use), Mamba 1 sensor fried RMA then left click went poo...(and a little point on keyboard, Lycosa 1 nothing happened but after only 6 month of normal use it look more worn out than my G15 first serie ... )

G600 month of use and day of clicks not even a glitch or a click issue, my Logitech Marathon M705 works also fine and for years now (5yrs to be precise and only 1 battery change, daily use also)

the new G602 could be nice tho ... the shape is comfortable less button than the G600 a bit more than the G700 500hz interpolation (less than the 1000hz on the G700) and a 2500dpi sensor, which might not be enough for everybody, but who use the second half part of the DPI adjustment on a Avago ADNS 9800, me ... sometime ... but above 4k its very specific :D

What if i told you......

Some G700's use the same laser engine of the G9x and the G500 (ADNS-9500)

There are also G700's & newer G700s's with ADNS-9808's but for a long time the engine of choice was the ADNS-9500.

the refresh of the G500 & G700 (the ones with the 's' tagged on at the end) are using the new Avago ADNS-9808 which have been reported to have some input lag by quite a lot of users.

a old school G500 is exceptional value for money when you compare it to the older/newer G700

well that's mainly why i use a wired G600 :) but i do recommend a G700

i know the refresh can have some input lag so thats why i recommend 700/700+ i have 2 friend with a G700 classic and they are quite pleased with.

If you have lag issues with the G700s put the software in and change the power settings appropriately. Never had sensor issues when in the proper gaming mode ;)

I have a Razer DeathAdder that is a solid mouse, I also just bought a SteelSeries Fnatic Sensei (but haven't used it yet since the new computer is getting built this weekend). In the past I've owned a Logitech MX518 which was amazing as well, unfortunately that mouse is no longer available. In general I would stay away from wireless mice, batteries suck. The old ones also did have a bit of lag (I noticed it), although I'd imagine that's mostly been corrected these days...I just can't tell you how many times I've had people in the middle of a match, raid, etc say: "hold on, my mouse battery died, brb". No, you suck...get a wired mouse..no batteries!

Not available outside of China/Asia.

On a side note, their mice look like designs copied off Logitech or Raptor Gaming/Corsair (Raptor gaming is now owned by Corsair)

I live in Europe, i bought it from a shop in my city, not from Asia :).
