Microsoft aims to ship over 10 million Xbox360s by 2007

Microsoft has had a goal since the beginning of 2006 to sell 10 million consoles. A spokesperson for Microsoft said in a press release "This holiday, we expect to have sold in excess of 10 million units worldwide." By "sold", Microsoft refers to the amount of Xbox360s that it has shipped to retailers and OEMs. It should not be very difficult for Microsoft to achieve it's goal. They are already reporting that sales for Xbox360 are way higher then the Xbox's sales, and can sell about one million consoles a month.

They (retailers) have to order them first silly, and that is definitely not an easy task.

According to Microsoft there's HUGE demand for the console. Especially considering I said at the end they have reported selling the 360 faster then the original Xbox. Three million consoles in three months isn't something to laugh at either .

i wouldnt be surprised if demand is still high. Gears of War has brought more people in, the PS3 is like gold dust and in the UK (where obviously the PS3 isnt out yet) there have been some pretty good deals on bundles with recent games (inc GoW etc)

Yeah, there is a very huge demand for the Xbox 360...I've called Best Buy, GameCrazy, GameStop, EBGames, Circuit City, and all of them said that many customers are buying the Xbox 360, but they also said that Microsoft is giving them a large supply. Very good indeed, so that when I get my Xbox 360 for Christmas, I won't have to look hard.

And go Rainbow Six: Vegas! Was going for Gears of War, but eh...not as great on Xbox Live, and Xbox Live is where it's at! And Call of Duty 3 is more of the same, better off playing Call of Duty 2 on my PC.

has anyone played Ghost Recon on 360? i started playing it online last night...not to bad....theres alot of camping in the spawning areas though,kinda sux u cant do nothing as soon as you spawn ur dead....

I think the price is great, a decent amount lower than the PS3, so that when people can't find a PS3, an Xbox 360 is there to take its place. And the Xbox 360 Premium $100 less than a PlayStation 3 Core, not bad at all. And the Xbox 360 Core, only $50 above Nintendo's Wii, it'll be a console for people who can't get a hold of a Wii or PS3...Microsoft is doing really good in the Video Game (Console) business IMO.

Just got an Xbox 360 yesterday, and man does it look amazing, and no lag whatsoever, runs smooth as buttah. I tried on both 720p and 1080i and both look gorgeous! Now I just need someone to play Co-op on Xbox Live with.
