Does anyone have any experience mixing ATI and nVidia cards in the same system? I am setting up a 3 screen system, and will be using 2 cards to do this.

1./ nVidia GTX260/216 for the primary display
2./ ATI FireGL 3350 for 2x secondary displays

I dont like the idea of having multiple display drivers working at the same time... but I would rather "reuse" an existing FireGL card for the additional displays than buy a second GTX260... for *just* 2D desktop use.

You can only do this in XP or Windows 7, Vista disables the use of more than one video driver.

Well, instead of getting a second 260 (unless you want SLI), you can always buy a cheap 8400gs or something. It's okay in Vista since they share the same driver (currently doing a 8800 + 8400 right now)

(edit) But yea, if you use win2k3, it'll allow dual drivers, try to not install any ati software else it conflicts w/ your 260. Install the driver manually (/edit)
