Been reading here and there about MXM option obviously versus soldered in BGA if present, GPUs, white paper terminology for BIOS OEM hardware compliance, yet a module standard should mean more universal options. What info can be provided for more layman about dealing with the conundrum that is Module standard severely limited yet offered as an option on hard to find motherboard offerings. in particular I am faced with HP Elitebooks using MXM of 2011 Sandybridge era, after buying 2006 Acer models as my first foray into MXM waters. HP Compaq 8510, 8560, then Pavilion All in One 6000 Pro, and most recently, HP Envy 23. the official stsnce is two options; only 1 ATI or 1 nVidia will work in the latter

There has been some discussion about MXM versus soldered in BGA if present, GPUs, white papers for BIOS OEM hardware compliance yet a module standard should allow more options

I havent looked too much into MXMs in awhile but even if you do find a module they are hit or miss if it will fit even if they state A or B mxm, i dont know exactly what you are asking, but getting mxm or bga wont make a difference afaik, its how they design the cooling on the laptop. Check out our database to see the specs of the gpu itself. Laptops are not my expertise.

Bgas normally lack cooling which hinders performance-think AMD Radeon RX-6000S, or nvidia max q
