Flash Sony GPU BIOS to Different Brand (AMD GPU)
Hi there,
I have a Sony laptop, but since its a Sony I can't install any graphics drivers except for realllly old ones released by Sony (no Windows 8 support) or modded ones. And modded ones are a hit and miss.
So is it possible to modify the vendor and device ID in the vBIOS to make it seem like a different brand so that I can download drivers right from AMD and install them?
Further, apparently Sony has the GPU clocked slower than normal, changing this would be neat but not necessary.
Here is a link to the vBIOS if anyone wants to see it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wldtc5l7xkjvqqg/1002_68c1.bin
Here is the vBIOS info from RBE:
Thanks!
Edit:
I think I've figure out how I can do it, the question I have now if my card is a Madison LP, can it be swapped out with a BIOS for a Madison Pro??
Edit Again: Can this deleted, this is in the wrong area. Thanks.
