Hello Drugsh,

If you're using the new Swiftech H220 kit (CPU block + pump combo & rad + res combo) you can easily connect a new rad as this cpu/pump->1st rad in->1st rad out->2nd rad in->2nd rad out->cpu/pump again.

If you're planning to add another rad and size it's not a problem i'll add a dual 120mm one, the price difference with a single one it's almost ridiculous, maybe 5-10$, and it's worth always to have a dual one, mostly because there's a lot more surface to dissipate heat, the best price/performance you're gonna have IMHO it's from Swiftech too, this one concretely.

Anyway, i'll up a lil bit your budget, by 15-20$ ... considering that you have to buy extra tubing, 2 more fittings AND extra Swiftech coolant due to the increase of the surface needed to be full (or renew it all for a completely diff one, you should not mixture different commercial liquids ever, just if brand and color, and maybe revision, matches ... you also can use distilled water + some solution to avoid algae and corrosion which is cheaper) and possibly 2x120mm fans if you're gonna keep your rad inside the case (hope you already have them or add another 15$)

By the way, if you want to know more about Liquid Cooling and you want to have a lot of doubts resolved you can do it in this whole thread, the first post is also an introduction guide for custom watercooling as well as some tips. Hope it helps.

Feel free to ask if you have more doubts, here or there, there are a lot of watercoolers in this forum that will help you gently.

Thank you sirkeldon i agree with your advice....buying a 240mm rad would be good but i am using nzxt phantom so i wont be able to add another 240 rad without moding it.In that case i was looking for thiker 120mm rad like Phobya g-charger...phobya one is real badass.all i wan to buy is rad, tubes and fitting i already have fans and coolant.

The H220 runs pretty well as it is. Have you run it yet to see your results before modding it?

That's a good point, in the CES2013 video demo was able to maintain at high 60's an OC'd cpu + 2 GFX's in X-Fire/SLI (can't remember if they were NVidia or ATi) ... maybe adding/improving the fans for a push->pull configuration with high static pressure ones and you will also improve a lot the heat dissipation, in a rad, fan does really matter.

Don't know the specs regarding the pressure of the ones included in this new kit.

55 CFM and 2.23mmH20 IIRC, they are the Swiftech Helix-120 PWM fans.

I don't think adding another 120 rad to the loop will help as the drop in pressure will most likely counter the added dissipation.

it is a 35X pump, pretty sure if it can take a couple blocks, the rad wont kill it that much. I'm still for trying it as-is first though;)

Isn't it only 6v though?

you know I didnt measure the actual voltage, but both my Apogee Drive II and this H220 head unit run at 3000RPM. If they did it with 6V more power to them:) Its powered with a 4-pin PWM header, I assumed it was taking 12V.

55 CFM and 2.23mmH20 IIRC, they are the Swiftech Helix-120 PWM fans.

They're good enough at pressure to maintain them, also as i saw in the demo, they were really silent even at max rpm's. Can you buy them separately as well?

I don't think adding another 120 rad to the loop will help as the drop in pressure will most likely counter the added dissipation.

Well, i saw the pump included was not outstanding, but just adding that 0.5 PSI drop at 1GPM (aprox) would impact so much? I never thought it, but you're way more experienced, i remember you giving me advices when i started into this

Also depending on what he's going to cool apart from the cpu, cause i won't add an extra rad but if he's planning to watercool the GPU aswell, concretely that 7950 beast, don't you think it will be worth?

it is a 35X pump, pretty sure if it can take a couple blocks, the rad wont kill it that much. I'm still for trying it as-is first though;)

I read the discussion on the unveiling thread, finally it was a 6 or 9W pump? Anyway i agree that it can eat a couple of blocks with a dual push->pull rad with no problems, but i'm still wondering now about the second rad doubt that erocker made me arise. Will be really worth?

I would buy it and try it. If you don't like it, shop eBAy for a triple rad and just swap them out.

tubing on the kit uses 3/8" ID tubing, so any fittings that are 3/8" OD will be fine, don't forget clamps.
