Hi i currently own the viewsonic vx2439wm

I want to know what is the best colour setting on this monitor?

Hiya

What do you use it for most?
; are you in nead of ICC profile advice or WCS Gamut Mapping Profiles Proofing and Line art, Photography etc

color adjustments are (sRGB, 9300K, 7500K, 6500K, default 5000K, user color RGB) for vx2439

I think 6500K should look about right; is anyone else able to confirm?, would be appreciated

6500k is roughly the colour of sunlight, it will give you a neutral couler setting, SRGB is like 6500k in appearance exept slightly more brown, 7500k is slightly blue, 9300k is considerably blue, 5000k will give you warmer colour

These will be affected by the light in your room though - so compensate accordingly

If you are hardcore about getting the colors right they make a monitor calibration tool. I've never used one personally but I've seen my old boss (marketing manager) use one after he got a new monitor. Nothing like creating an ad in Photoshop to only have it look different somewhere else because the calibration is off.
