It depends. Right now are you bothered by color shift, color accuracy, backlight bleed, banding, and poor viewing angles? It gets worse on a bigger panel too, btw. To me it's worth the extra money. I just don't see the point of spending so much money on a rig to play on a sub-par monitor especially when the monitor will probably outlast the rest of the rig.

I've honestly never had any **major** complaints about any of these. Backlight bleed is noticeable, but i've learned to ignore it. Otherwise its never been a big deal to me. Although I do see where you're coming from
