According to Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick. Speaking with Forbes, the executive said that the publisher is planning to release more games based on the foul-mouthed action hero.

Take-Two's CEO says Duke Nukem will chew more bubblegum.

"We don't really talk about it in detail, but you will see future Duke [intellectual property] coming from this company," said the executive when asked if a Duke Nukem movie or TV series might be in the offing.

See above comment. DNF was a game in production for 14 years, redone numerous times. Given to a good dev, like gearbox hopefully they can crank out something great instead of having to redo the game so many times.

Stuff that was cut when? 10 years ago? 8 years ago? 5 years ago? It's an old game, doubtful you would see any of that content.

you know Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary edition has a toggle mapped to the controller that seamlessly loads the original Halo: Combat Evolved architecture and textures in real time so you can compare the old with the new.

Gearbox should of added this feature to Duke Nukem Forever so you could see what the game looked like in 1999-2005-2011

One of the reasons why i haven't jumped the Duke bandwagon just because it's Duke. They got it on market just because they wanted to raise some cash with it. Nothing else.

Raise what cash? This game spent 14 years in development, they could have just ended it and cut their loses. They knew it wouldn't get high reviews, this was a release simply for all of the Duke fans who have been waiting, and for all of the naysayers who said it would never happen. I highly doubt this game will turn a profit after sitting in development for so long.

Every game is out there to raise cash, if you think otherwise, you are crazy.

I think the smart move is for Take-Two to develop mobile games under the Duke Nukem name and sell them until they can't squeeze another buck then bury the IP.

That means DNF has pulled in 8+ million as it sits and its been out about 2 weeks. Multi-platform releases on average take 20 - 30 million to produce, and single platform about 8 - 10 million. Granted DNF probably didn't take as much to make as it was an older game, so they might be breaking even, breaking even on an old game. I don't understand the issue with some more Duke, almost every single game on the market now is sequels, and a lot of that crap is the same. Duke is different, I really enjoyed Bad Company 1 for the humor, I like playing FPS's and laughing, all of them are so dead serious now, or scary (Dead Space / FEAR), it's refreshing to kick ass and have fun.

I think the smart move is to not be constructive at all to the thread, or to all of the other threads about Duke and keep posting about how you don't like it. We got the point the 1st time.

Do you really think they were seriously and fully developing it for 14 years and then selling it for what, 50 EUR ? Right. And programmers on it were living out of thin air? Or even better, if they were developing it for so long it would be the best game on the planet with a price tag of 100 EUR. But its not and the game is nothing else than just mediocre.
