Hello there everyone

I am currently using the following mobo-cpu-memory; ( prices are in canadian dollar )

msi RS482M4-ILD ( 7191 )
AMD Athlon 64 3500+ 2.2GHz Socket 939
2 x Kingston ValueRAM PC3200 DDR400 512MB

My buddy has an old pentium 3 system so he asked me to build a cheap system for himself and i came with the idea of selling my current stuff to him and with the money i get from my friend i will add money to it to buy myself mobo+cpu+memory

So i came up with.....

Asus P5B Deluxe
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300
OCZ DDR2 PC2-7200 2GB kit

So what do you guys think about these 3 things that i would like to pick up from the store..
Will these 3 work well with together? are those rams compatible with the mobo and cpu??? How much performance increase will i notice? Will it worth to buy them or should i save up more for the upcoming asus rd600 ati crossfire chipset??

If you have any recommendations please feel free to tell me.. ( later on i will buy a better cooling and psu for extreme overclocking ;) )

Thank you everyone :)

I love Tpu :)

P5B FTW

I can't quote on the ram for certain, but I do know that Corsair XMS2 2x1024 kit ddr2 800 is compatible.

when it comes to high speed ram, its pretty much overclocked low speed ram...
if you dont believe me, look at some ddr2 800 and some ddr2 1066 from the same manufacturer and the same size and i guarantee the only difference(other than aesthetic ones) is that the 1066 has looser timings and higher voltage...

Ohh I don't doubt that one tiny bit. With my timings tight on my current ram I can't clock it much, if I drop them to 5-5-5-15 I can get it up around 850-875 no problems ohh forgot I have to stick the voltage up to 2.0

i guarantee ket will back me up 100%... hes the one that told me that!
he saved me ~$100 on ram, i was looking at getting some ddr2 1066, then he told me that and convinced me to get ddr2 800...
and guess what?
i can reach 1066 with the same voltage and tighter timings as that $300 ram i was looking at...:rockout:
