I damaged my motherboard by dropping my screwdriver while trying to re-paste the CPU

I hit the HP_PWR chip and was wondering if there was anything I could possibly do.

You'll need rework station, solder, solder wick and flux.
But I don't think it makes sense to invest in all of that for a single repair plus it takes some practice to master it.

If you have the equip you've nothing to lose by trying but the above is correct.
Unless you do have the equipment, the correct part AND experience doing such it's best to get another board.... Or find someone capable of doing the job.

Would be best to find another just like yours to get the correct parts.
Even though it may be the same brandname and even the same socket that doesn't mean the parts used would be the same. Different models have different specs meaning the components used themselves will be different between board models.

That is the only place that the damage exists on the board because I dropped my screwdriver and it bounced around in that area so I just showed where the contact was made it was a heavy screw driver as well it powers on but then just goes into a loop of powering in for about 2.5 seconds then shuts down again

DAU 1 chip is where it hit first and then bounced around and did more damage I did not really notice

You could waste $20 on parts, plus shipping...

I would not want to waste if it is a lost cause I can live with it being impossible to repair

I definitely would get the best I can find to fix it because I would use it in the future to fix other things

It looks to be surely more than that I am just unsure of it being possible to get the board in working order again

Might be a good time to upgrade and sell off the working parts and then consider board repair as a hobby later...

Yeah the board is repairable but the work would be extremely difficult with me not having the experience

The cost of it all seems to be not worth it I know someone that has all of the equipment but not the parts and the parts look to make the repair worthless unless I can find an as-is board with them still intact
