Hello friends, my brothers pc has high-end specs but mouse needs to be diagnosed for latency and yes even on desktop. it feels like when you turn on vsync in a fps game. all drivers are up to date also i checked mb and bios is fine too. been searching on web for what to do about this but that didnt help at all. im not talking about click latency, its all about cursor btw mouse is cm storm alcor. My brother says its been like that even with his previus pc too. this situation makes zero sense to me, maybe its about win10?

10000 reason why it could be. Vertical sync on? That will add something. Is it a true gaming mouse? If not, that could slow things down.
Go down the check list.
Good gaming mice let you set latency to 1ms in the driver, did he do that?

Do you have "Enhance Pointer Precision" turned off in the mouse settings in the control panel?

Remove the CM 'helper program' bullshit one time (if you have it installed), remove the HID mouse driver and the device in device management. Unplug the mouse and plug it back in and let Windows do its voodoo.

You can see what happens when this mouse is being used as a regular HID device that way, on standard settings.

You could also just have a dodgy sensor, CM isn't really known for quality mice tbh.

About the display cable length... far fetched, unless you have more than 10 meters of HDMI cable going on.

That changes everything. Did this mouse ever work right?

Having an extra long cable for your monitor could increase latency.
??? Huh?

I agree. But even then, it would not cause mouse latency issues. A monitor has no clue if a command to light or turn off a pixel comes from a mouse, keyboard, game or even Windows. The command comes from the graphics solution so if latency was an issue, it would be seen with all display activity, not just the mouse movements. But to the point, pretty sure a cable that is too long would result in out of sync problems with digital inputs, and possibly resolution issues with analog.

I apologize if this is in your system specs I'm on mobile so I can't see them but what version of Windows 10 are you on?

Only reason I'm asking is that if you're on the insider program issues like this are not unheard of

also, what mouse is it? is it the Razer Chroma?? i logged into my PC, and it looks like some info is missing .

sorry to bother you all but it turns out to be a `simpe` problem... My bro has a 50 inch tv connected to pc. while trying to figure out its tv or pc making pointer lag, i discovered that tv has a gaming mode opion in general system options tab. so turning gaming mode on solved the problem finally... man that was a pain in the back thanks all

Yeah, Gaming mode means that the TV will work on native 60Hz instead of fake 120Hz or even 240Hz used for crappy motion compensation and other garbage.
