Hey guys! I have recently acquired an MSI 3070 GAMING Z card.
My problem is, that the fans start spinning around 56-57C, but will not stop above 36-37C!

If i use some application with a moderate load after let's say gaming, and the gpu's temperature cools back only to arpund 40C the fans will not ever stop!

I have tried basically everything sort of bios modding, please help me if you can, i would like to have the fans to stop below 56-57C! Thank you!

I have no idea if that is intentional or not, but my RTX 2070 by EVGA turned the fans off at around 56-57C. The problem is in the summer when idle it would frequently ramp up again, so the fans would constantly be starting up and then shutting off about 8 seconds later. This wasn't very loud but I could clearly hear the abrupt on/off of the fans. It was honestly more noticeable when the fans went off than it was when the fans were spinning slowly.

I assume MSI is trying to prevent that from happening. Once it gets above 57C, it won't turn off until it gets below 37-40C. That way it isn't constantly doing the on/off thing.

I will note my EVGA GTX 1070 and EVGA RTX 3070 don't have the constantly on/off annoyance the 2070 had. I think 37C to 57C is too big of a jump though because it is hard for a modern GPU to idle below that.

There should be hysteresis, but this doesn't sound right. Perhaps reinstall the drivers and the MSI dragon control software.

Was this card bought new or used? If used it's more likely to be faulty.
