MSI 5850 flash to MSI or ASUS 5870?

Hi guys.

I'm having issues with my 5850 (powerplay) downclocking everything.

I want to flash to the 5870 so it'll have higher default clocks.

Went through the forums here but couldn't find anything pertinent to my video card, specifically. Would anyone mind giving me a hand, here or via MSN?

please dont flash your 5850 to a 5870. use radeon bios editor and change your clocks

I've had hundreds of problems with that. Even if I apply an OC'd profile with afterburner, it just downclocks to 400/1000.

Haven't tried RBE - is it safer (would it void my warranty) and why shouldn't you upgrade to a 5870 bios?
