I wonder how they will keep it reasonably quiet as lower specified models are already loud.

I was actually waiting for something like 4800H+5600M but I got ASUS TUF A15 4800H+1660Ti which was much cheaper than the MSI 4600H+5500M and in some reviews measured noise was lower on ASUS. It's still loud in the turbo mode but can play without issues on a quiet balanced mode.

Nah not everyone cares about everything in their laptop being the latest & greatest in tech, having said that it must be cheap (enough) to drive sales towards MSI. Otherwise this is just for show & will end up being a major disappointment for anyone wanting (cheap?) 4800h levels of performance.

RX5600M was announced over half-year ago (more like 8 months or something). Now it hits the market and there are barely 2 or 3 laptop series officially released so far.
RX6000 is not even announced yet and Nvidia 3000 series is expected to appear in desktops next month while we don't know when will be mobile chips. I don't expect laptops with next-gen graphics cards earlier than in half year. Till then, MSI or other brands will sell a lot of laptops with RX5000, RTX2000 or GTX1660/1650.

Maybe OEM just refuse to use 5600M since they are terrible ? 5600M need 100W (AMD SmartShift) just to compete with 2060 Max-Q at 90W and still lose.

2070 Super Max-Q and 2080 Super Max-Q were released 5 months ago and you can see a lot of models feature those GPUs.

What AMD needs to do is finally release the 5700M (2304 core/256-bit GDDR6) to take on the 2070 Mobile (non-Max-Q) at 115W. AMD SmartShift seems promising, but they should not limit their 5600M to just 100W, especially if a 90W RTX 2060 Max-Q can still beat it.

The 5600M has desktop specs except for slightly lower clocks.
DELL's execution of 5600M for example was pitiful at best because they didn't do the cooling right and they limited 5600M's power draw to about 15-20W less than it should have been.
Otherwise, performance-wise it would be on par with RTX 2060 (non Max-q)...
And then there's the 5600M Pro as used in Macbooks with HBM2 memory and 60W TDP (the gpu is actually as powerful as 2060 Max-Q at that power level whilst consuming about 55W total... so its MORE efficient than NV).

In Eluktronics RP-15, the RTX 2060 is allowed to boost to 110W with decent thermals.
Dell simply can't make proper cooling for AMD because they have a history of poorly executing cooling with AMD hw.

Acer on the other hand does not... as is evidenced by their amazing execution of Ryzen 2700 and Vega 56 in Predator Helios 500 PH517-61 with amazing cooling and thermals (no laptop of that generation comes close to that all AMD laptop in terms of performance, price, efficiency, cooling and noise).

You should really do your homework better and understand what's been happening.

What does that have to do with laptop? It’s not like rx6000 or ampere is coming to notebooks for another 6 months to a year. Probably a year for ampere since yields with Samsung 8nm. No one is going to wait 6+ months for future releases if they need something now. There will always be something better around the corner.

Sure for the sweet price of 700usd as an upgrade for the 5600M Pro, might as well get a windows laptop with 2080 Super Max-Q and compare those 2, let see which one is more effcient eh.

Now I have the Acer Triton 500 with 10875H + 2070 Super Max-Q, wanna compare score ?

The MSI Bravo 15 was a trash fire that got MSI the flack for bullying small Techtuber, now MSI refresh the name to Alpha, don't know if they make any meaningful change to the design.

BGA trash. That's all. Getting a Sager / Clevo based Socketed Intel chips with proper fully unlocked BIOS options along with Clevo MXM GPUs is a much better choice. Area 51 M series of Alienware had such high potential but their new R2 got SUPER cards which are not compatible with R1, massive block of user upgrade despite having same DGFF GPUs. Anything with BGA and high performance is better ignored, power limits castrated EC tables, cheaped out VRM components, thin and light garbage advertising for the loss of Storage ports, soldered WiFi cards and all. Not worth, when the cost is equivalent to a very powerful Desktop machine.

What AMD REALLY should have done was have much higher core counts. The reason for that, you can introduce them in laptops with significantly lower frequencies, and get much better performance for the same power requirements. Raising the power consumption for a part in a laptop is generally not a good idea, because you get better performance/watt at lower clock speeds. Ideally you would have 2080 Ti core counts (talking about NVIDIA too) in laptops, and drop the frequency by half, and you get better performance/watt just like that. As for AMD, they have a big disadvantage because they decided to keep to their low core counts, which only means they won't perform nearly as well for laptops (not talking about just performance, but power consumption, and features related to laptops as well).
