The target audience for these rigs are (rich) kids and they like overly flashy things. It reduces lag as far as I know.

All though I agree with pre-fabs being suspicious products and their aesthetic choices questionable, all of these gaudy itx pc's with PCIe risers and isolated components seem awesome to me.

I don't know how anyone could argue that this would offer poor cooling, especially on air... ducts, isolated components, and limited volume per chamber are the most significant advancements in ATX since... well, BTX failed. Go look inside of a workstation or talk to CaseLabs if you don't believe me...

One thing weird about this forum is that, there are always some people pointing out a new product looking like some old stuff, which has nothing but little visual impression similar. Not talking about design, not the internal layout, and not even the size. Does it please you guys to show that you know about those old products? Ridiculous.

Ha! That got a laugh out of me. What I can say about this product is that the internals look exactly like the Nightblade MI2 that I reviewed several months ago, now wrapped in a new shell. I LOVE my Nightblade MI2; it is the quietest PC I own, but has a I5 6600 and a GTX970 and16 GB of ram.

Changing the outer skin takes what was already good and makes it appeal to a newer audience, and that's great for MSI. I'm tempted to ask them to send me one, in fact.

This seems closer to Deepcool's Tristellar in design - I imagine the isolated chambers and lack of an axial fan for exhaust will make this much quieter than most of the Steam Box style chassis we're seeing.

i actually see some function along with the fancy form.. even the tilt up towards the back is functional.. i doubt any of the clever buggers on here could size for size built a better machine.. there is a little more to the design than just a fancy box with stuff inside.. i can see it if others cant..

They may have changed the specs.
