I've always used asus, but from those 2 mobos I would pick the MSI, just because it comes with heatsinks installed around the socket, since its always hot where I live, I try to cool the components as much as possible, and that asus mobo coming naked wouldnt make me happy at all. When I was looking for an asus mobo for my current build, any decent asus z77 was around $140-155(cheaper ones were all naked with fewer power phases), and then I found the asrock z77 extreme4 $45 cheaper, brand new, so I went with that, very solid mobo and has been working great for 6 months now. :)

Recently I've had very good experience with both (MSI & Asus) of those manufacturers of mobos, so I think you're good with either one.

Choose the best price. ;)

I JUST got my Asus board up and running, and I'm having no issues with it.

On the MSI side, my GPU is simply amazing and I trust both as brands. Both are good quality but you do want those heatsinks.
