Is this a 2 or 4 lane tb3 configuration?

A rather unreasonable combo of components that make little to no sense. This CPU is an overkill for a GPU that can't maintain normal framerates in graphics intensive titles (Witcher 3). And for the less demanding games like CSGO or Dota2 an i5-7300HQ will do just nicely. Not to mention the 120Hz panel on which you will never hit that framerate. IPS 60Hz should do just fine.
I have to agree (and can confirm) that a 7300HQ paired with a 1060 would make more sense and perform better for the same price.

Its a 40 Gbit Thunderbolt 3 port which means its a PCIe 3.0 x4

Most likely a DSL6340 SP version. 40 Gbit/s = 5 GB/s or so

on one hand there are plenty of laptops with gtx 1070 on 2000$ price rand and 1080@60fps screen... and on other hand there is this - gtx 1050ti with 1080@120fps... it just shows that people (buyer) do not care (nor have a mental capacity to evaluate what he is doing with his $ even though price range would suggest that they should be enthusisasts and should be willing to explore what are they buying... but no)

You can have both configurations on tb3 and be in spec, which was why i was asking. The only way to know for sure is to actually verify in the system.

If i could keep the unit and still had it on hand I would further verify but I only get a limited amount of time to test.
