MSi GTX 260 twin frozr oc doesn't run in 780i (RESOLVED)
****SURFACE MOUNT RESISTOR MISSING****
I got my job back and spent some coin on shit I don't need. This includes two GTX 260's, a Sea Sonic x750 Gold, and a ssd.
One of the cards is new, the other is open box from da 'Egg. The new one runs fine in my 780i (evga). The open box doesn't run, produce heat, POST in the evga. The fans run full blast with nothing happening.
clearly its not a PSU issue...
but here's where it gets funny. The open box runs fine in Gigabyte P35.
Any ideas?
I have one theory, but i don't have the time right now to check it out...maybe the previous owner flashed a bios thats incompatable with the 780i. Is this possible?
thanks or looking
