MSI P35 Platinum

I woke up yesterday and found the motherboard in my backup pc that is all I have right now, sizzled up and dead and now I'm wondering if the MSI P35 Platinum is a good board for now, I can get it for 30 bucks shipped.

anyone had any experience with this board.

Nothing wrong with P35 Platinum, even when its an MSI board.
Almost no bios problems, works stable, even with high clocked quads, a decent memory clocker. One of the easiest P35 boards to work with.

I had one a while ago and my roommate still has his. It's a solid board, especially for $30. I say jump on it.

Well, I can tell something about my board. It's a P35 Neo2-FR,which is a Platinum without the rollercoaster cooling.
I have this board for 18 months. First running with an e6600 @ 1.68v. Now with a q6600 @ 3.7ghz 1.6v. Never ever had any stability problems, never.

Been using the P35 Neo 2 (which is the Plat w/out the crazy cooling) for about 14 months with no probs at all, very solid board esp. for $30!

OK I have the Neo 2 FR on the way for the same price because the heatsink would've gave me problems with my cpu heatsink

Where'd you find it for $30? I want one as a backup....I was going to get that board instead of the Maximus I have
