Yay!! We can finally max out GTA4. lol. I honestly thought somebody would've released a 1792MB 260 well before this.

If I go X58, I may move to these cards, possibly in Tri-SLI. Unless of course somebody releases a 2GB 285. lol.

I hear you there, I'm all up for having double frame buffer over reference on any card, just to make sure ;)

would be insane to see a GTX295 with 3584mb total memory  they're not using the outer pcb for memory chips on either side :D

Gigabyte advertises 50,000 hour capacitors on their "Ultra Durable" motherboards. Either people have very different ways of measuring capacitor life, or these caps are 1/10th the lifespan of the ones Gigabyte uses. Perhaps they could ask Gigabyte where they sourced theirs from (yes, I'm being facetious.)

"Ultra durable" series aside from the introduction of all solid capacitors is just a marketing term really. They would say 1 billion hour capacitors if it sold more motherboards. But its not like I think Gigabyte makes bad motherboards. I believe MSI and Gigabyte make the best inexpensive boards out there from my experience. ;)

I think there is a typo the 5000 is 50000hr?... if not then thata would be pretty crappy.

5000 hour capacitors , the gigabyte ultra durable 3 give 50000 hour capacitors

It must be a typo, because thats even less than regular caps.

This thread came to mind browsing one motherboards info:

100% High-quality Japan-made Conductive Polymer Capacitors!
VRM 5000hrs lifespan @105°C, 500,000hrs @65°C

That should clear everything out, it's all about the temperatures. Quite a massive increase in lifespan with realtively "small" drop on tempretature. 7 months to 57 years :)
