Hey guys,
U will say Im total idiot, but I tried to change FAN on my 5770 to another one, but the connector was way too big, so I cut the plastic "pin case" (sorry for my english  ) and it still didnt work... the fan connector was slipping out etc. (and the card wont boot without fan at all)
So I was told, to connect the new fan to molex and just connect the "rpm" pin on card to ground... but, I connected RED pin to BLACK pin, Yeah I really did :( and I blowed the card... or blowed... I dont know. There's nothing visible, nothing burned, but something on the card started to smell, there was no smoke... and here is the thing.

I put in square the part, that smells "weirdly" and on the component in RED CIRCLE is the lowest label (left one on pic) burned (or something... its only black and barely visible), so my question is, if anyone knows, what can I do, if is this card completely fu**ed up or is there any chance i could repair it?

Edit: Now i just find voltmeter, so I tried to check resistance (ohms)
on that "circled" thing is written

947(0M)
49
09NG

there are more of them on this card and everyone shows from 3 - 3.1 ohm, but that one shows everytime something different, one time 150ohms, another time 320ohms.... do u think, if I change that one, it would work again? And if it would, please tell me someone how this component is named :( Im desperate

If it's just a DPAK FET (that thing in the red ellipse), you'll get them for dirt cheap at a TV repair shop.

So guys... the woman in electronics shop told me, she dont know which type of that mosfet it is, so Im asking u again... I tried to look everywhere, i rewritten everything from this mosfet to google, then just parst of it etc. but I didnt find anything...

here is the "smelly" part... from the right one mosfet "947" I get different results everytime, one tim 300 ohms, other time 120ohms etc. the other "947" on card shows stable 3.0 - 3.1 ohms

from the left one "946" i get range from 325 to 350 ohms...

please can anyone tell me how can i atest which components are blown and which are not? Or can I assume, that when I'll get from some components NO OHMS, like nothing at all that the component is blown?

Here's the datasheet of that FET: http://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/NTD4909N-D.PDF

Ask that lady for something with these specs (if she doesn't have something specific):

30 V, 41 A, Single N−Channel, DPAK package
