I can't find any reviews.

On the MSI webpage it says "boost clock 1710Mhz"? (mine on the MSI page says boost 1800Mhz but it does 1980 most of the time)

How much better is this MSI RTX2080 Gaming Trio (none x) than my MSI RTX2070 Super Gaming X Trio?

I'm thinking in games with RTX on.

The average RTX2080 is just 4% faster, but I wanted to know the performance of this particular RTX2080, but there aren't any reviews about it.
This RTX2080 was 54 EUR more than my RTX2070 Super.
I have decided to avoid the hassle of returning/waiting and buying at another shop.
I just keep the MSI RTX2070 Super Gaming X Trio I have now.

5% difference,not worth 54 euros imo.plus 2070 super will run a bot cooler and quieter.

I'd wait for 3000 series / Ampere

I'm sure these will be out before or just around Cyberpunk 2077.

Super was a stop-gap.

Thats correct but this was about the RTX2080 none super vs RTX2070 Super.

He consider 2080

Only 2080 Super and 2080 Ti does decent at RTX unless you like 30-40 fps at times

3000 will bring a huge perf increase, non-RTX and RTX.

The MSI Gaming X Trio was the fastest among the (7) 2080 cards tested by TPU hitting 180.2 fps in the Heaven OC test.... the MSI 2070 Super hit 160.3 fps ...making the 2080 Gaming X Trio about 12.4% faster .

The only thing I see that are different is that the factory out of the box boost clock is set at 1800 Mhz for the Gaming and 1860 for the Gaming X

The factory boost is a confusing item .. where TPU was able to take the MSI Gaming X Trio 2080 from 1860 to 2115, they were only able to take the Zotac amp extreme from 1905 to 2085. In short wher the base clock is set at the factory doesn't seem to correlate with the max boost when manually overclcoked. I don't see anything that would indicate a result much different than the X version.
