Mushkin's XP2-8500 4 GB DDR2 memory is the only kit on the market that can run DDR2-1066 in a 4 GB configuration. While other manufacturers have to use CL6 @ 800 MHz, Mushkin can use CL5 @ 1066, at around 2.30 V. Having 4 GB of system memory may soon be the recommended configuration when running the memory-hungry Windows Vista. The only drawback of this memory is its price: $679.

Ketxxx has been preaching that Mushkin is a great maker of memory. This just further reinforces it.

On the upper part you find the typical Mushkin heatspreader form which allows a little tube to be inserted through it for water cooling your memory

well done, i think thats the first time ive seen this pointed out in a review

Why does it run better with a lower clock?

I get really confused with DDR2 benchmarks. DDR1 was much simpler, but then again, also more limited...
Interesting to see how higher and lower memory clocks affect applications. And the Q3 demo results were confusing... It was running better at lower clocks... like DaMulta said.

This gives you added flexibility in situations where you can to reduce the clocks a bit but tighten the timings.

I hope you guys can appreciate the pain in the arse it can be sometimes benching for all those different timings and keeping those numbers straight .. can start to run together when you set down to do the graphs ... and to think he was worried about the graph colors ... hehe
