So he wants help picking out a laptop.

Anyone know of any current good deals/models that aren't Dell?

It doesn't have to be anything powerful, preferably 750$ under.

You could check out the deals on techbargains. I've been looking for a budget lappy for under $600 or something, and HP's low end laptop starts at 429, and you can bump it up pretty well for under 750. Dell def. has the best deals though. Any particular reason you won't go with them?

Tesco. Seriously. Not sure if you got it over there in the US yet but if it's for work you can pick up a decent laptop for about £300 - about $600-700
