Somehow, imy chrome browser keeps on shutting off on its own without any warnings or so when I am downloading larger files (1gb+)... I also have youtube running in the background while I am doing casual browsing. I have no AV running. When i restart the browser, it asks if i want to resume the browser windows.

Any suggestions/thoughts on what can be happening?

I have no AV running.
 Why on Earth not? This is just asking for trouble, assuming it hasn't already found you. :( Keeping your system secure is not just to keep your system secure and you safe, it is so your system does not become compromised then used against the rest of us.

I recommend you immediately install MSE, Avira, Avast, or some other capable security solution and scan the heck out of your system. Then install Malwarebytes and scan it again. Make sure Windows is fully updated. Uninstall Chrome, reboot, then use IE (assuming W7 as listed in your specs) to download the latest version of Chrome and see what happens.

Pardon for not laying it out more precisely, but yeah, i do have AV running, but i tried shutting it off the sake of the Chrome issue, but it didn't work. I have AV turned back on now.

I will try that and see what happens...

Thanks for clarifying about the AV. Then if me, I would uninstall and reinstall Chrome. Have you tried another browser to see if it does the same thing? You might try Pale Moon or the new Edge is based on Chrome.
