Lg lightscribe dvd burner

got this cooler instead supposed to be a smaller version of the Ultra extreme 120

The new Ultima-90 (or Ultima-90I) from Thermalright improves upon their Ultra-90 design significantly. It crams in six heatpipes and forty-eight wide fins. The distance between each fin has been increased to allow for more air between the fins, while still keeping the design for 92 millimeter fans for maximum compatibility among various motherboards and cases. To top it all, you can even slap on a 120mm (fan wire clip included with every package) for maximum cooling effect not only for your CPU but also for what's around it; other components such as the north-bridge chipset, capacitors, micro SMDs, MOSFETs and etc.

Features

Six-heatpipe design for extra fast heat transfer
Stepping fins to hold 92mm/120mm fans
Light and easy installation
High performance, low noise level at competitive price
Technical Specifications

Dimension: L115 x W55 x H139 (heatsink only)
Weight:460g (heatsink only)

Motherboard Compatibility
INTEL: All Intel Socket LGA775 processors
AMD: Athlon64 / FX / X2 / Opteron Socket AM2 processors
AMD: Socket 939 Optional

Installation Instructions

Sidewinder notes: we have noticed, at least with our initial shipment of Ultima-90I, that more effort has gone into the baseplate. The cutting pattern Thermalright has used is no longer circular in nature, rather the baseplate cuts are unidirectional and as such, the base appears more flat

Question about that "dual orb" fan , does one fan rotate in one direction and the other in an other direction?? Where can I get one of them? Never seen one like that before!

Not sure it's not here yet and it's not the best cooler out it looks great and is supposed to be much better than the stock cooler but The Accelero s1 and turbo pack or a 120mm fan runs 10 to 20 degrees cooler than the dual orb. The dual or keeps the gpu from what I read in the high 50s 58c-ish and the accelero s1 keeps it in the 40-ish range 40 to 44c. I bought mainly because i got a deal and because it cools better than the stock cooler

I'm going to have to take this back I'm impressed with the Dual Orb so far it not going over 45c overclocked and thats close to the Accelero s1 I had within 1 degree Plus it comes with 2 types of ram heatsinks and even small heatsinks for the 8800 gts voltage regulators.

Great I cannot get near those speeds on a quad with this small CPU cooler (it is a very good one) but won't let me get near the speeds the Ultra Extreme did. I think with a Dual core it would be unreal for it's size gonna add another 92mm in push pull fashion. Hey on another note, when you have case fans with a 4 pin power connectors and a 3 pin, one yellow wire for the motherboard fan header. The yellow wire, what does it do, just show rpms or will it control the fan? Also this case looks fantastic. If Darth Vader had a computer case this is it, but it's a wire nightmare with all four of these fans each having three wires, loooong wires, what a mess.

I think the fourth wire is the sensor and controller if your BIOS has fan control. Am on 4.4Gig now with a core disabled and sub 11secs superPI :D Having probs with the 8800GT and 3D Mark 2006, I cant get the card stable anymore above 760 with shaders li8nked, 3 days ago I was doing 2006 runs at 780 stable.....wtf? So am only at 14600 in 3D Mark 2006 at the moment with the CPU at 4.1Gig. Need these Yorkfield 45nm quads to arrive quick!

I think the problem may be it's getting too much voltage, these boards even have a secondry 4 pin molex connector on the board where you can plug in a molex to boost power to the PCI-E, it was done for Xfire boosting but I have it plugged in anyways, working on the theory if the power isnt needed then it's not drawn.

If i remember correctly, it draws power from the molex only when a second card is installed

It is very nice but should have been called the Thermatake Anvil. If there is a tornado you will find me taking shelter inside it. The olny thing I would change is the fans from all 4 pin to half 4 pin and half 3 pin. This 4 pins are wire nightmares.

If you are looking for case that will give your computer that extra bit of protection and piece of mind that all your hardware is secure then, this is most definitely the case for you. Fast and easy installation of all your hardware, the weight of an elephant, windows and lights, all these things add up to make one fancy case. If you are into the new style, and like to show off all your hardware, then this case is a must-have for you. If you are a constant LAN attendee, then be prepared to rent or buy a forklift to move this case though, weighing in at about 40 pounds empty this case is NOT light. It’s big its mean and it’s the ThermalTake Armor. oh I think I tore a nut lifting it.:D
