2nd: GIGABYTE GA-P55-USB3
CPU: 1st: i7 860
2nd:i5 750
(What's the difference and which would perform better when it comes to application, movies, meaning response time, and what does the ghz even do)
Graphic: 1st: SAPPHIRE 100287L Radeon HD 5670 (Redwood)
2nd:XFX HD-567X-YNFC Radeon HD 5670 (Redwood)
(I am looking for a quiet graphic card for watching movies and playing some games, what else would you recommend that is ultra quiet, and are these quiet?)
SSD: Kingston SSDNow V Series SNV425-S2BD/64GB 2.5" Desktop Bundle 64GB
(I heard that mlc ssd have a short lifespan meaning if you use it alot it will shorten its life span is this true and how long does a ssd last for daily usage: watching movies, surfing web, anti-virus, and opening apps)
HDD: 1st: Samsung Spinpoint F3 1tb
2nd: Velociraptor 150gb
(Would this be good for fast transfer rate and fast boot up than a ssd or does it perform just like a regular hdd)
3rd: WD Caviar Black 640gb
(Would this be faster than a velociraptor 150gb because there a great reviews on it)
Ram I know that the mobos have dual channel memory, is it possible to put a tripple channel memory in three of the four slots, is there any after effects or is it fine)

( I don't really know much about memory but just want a reliable one that will work for the mobos and be fast for my needs)

( I heard that this would fit my needs and modular causes alot of resistance leading to heat which i do not want)
Sound Card: 1st:HT | OMEGA CLARO Plus+
2nd: HT | OMEGA CLARO
3rd: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional
( I just want a really good sound card that will work with my the mobos and a logitech z-5500 price is not an issue. I also heard that creative has bad drivers, is this still the case)
OS:Win 7 Ultimate 64bit

I just want a rig that will boot up superfast or just faster than normal with lots of storage. Do i really need a i7 860 over a i5 750 for super fast response time when I press on an app. I have alot of musics and movies.
I kind of noobs when it comes to parts so I have many questions

Just general observations.

All modern cpu's are pretty darn quick......personally I would get an 860.
You talk about fast app loading times etc therefore I would suggest you focus on ram and disc performance rather than cpu.

As much decent ram as you can fit and a fast hard disc.

I would suggest the Sammy disc for storage and a raptor as your OS/boot drive.
This way you would have fast programme/os load times and all your media files out of the way on a separate storage disc.

Gigabyte board...good choice......and the budget Gskill ram works well.
I have 6gb in a Giga EX58.

Corsair/Seasonic=good choice.

The only part that will superfast your boot time is an SSD.

if you go windows 7 dont get the creative card, they are quite buggy, at least in my experience, same with realtek. I love my EVGA P55, though for newer people gigabyte is probably better because evga's are meant for performance and such, gigabyte is meant for newer users for ease of use.the i7-860 would be your best choice imo, but if you can afford it the i7-870 are higher binned, meaning usually run at lower volts/cooler. 6gb kit will not work as that in the evga boards but the gigabyte idk, but if your not going for super high overclocks you can get good stable cheaper ram in 8gb kits. the ssd would be your best choice even though mlc shortens lifespan it will still outlive your rig components. the 1tb drive (you want this pc for movies=more storage) the corsair 650tx is a good choice in fact the 650 TX is the same as the 750HX just not modular. the 850TX is simply a 950tx with less pci-e connections. for gpu, you may as well get the 5750 at least because the 5650 probably wont meet your expectations, and the 5750 is a very quiet card, personally I would get the 5770 because it has 1gb of ram and better performance for certain video type apps and games hell if you arent planning on needing DX11 for anything then maybe even get a 4870, they have some that are near silent and they are still solid performers in most games along with an i7. If you would like me to make a list of parts/a rig of good stable components just let me know. I love building other peoples rigs
