Wait...I should buy extra standoffs and install them so? There was only two included so I don't know. If so how to know if the standoff is good or also conductive. My cas have 8 atx aligned screw and like a little already placed screw in the middle I'm not sure whats the name.

My outlet isn't grounded it's a 2 prong outlet. I have 2 ups of the same type but smaller wattage. 1 dot my desktop which is 600w and the other for monitor and speakers which are hooked up by dp and 3x3.5mm Jacks. The two ups are plugged to an to the same outlet via a strong extention cord coming from the same outlet hope it can help.my psu is modular so there's no useless cables. Can a unproperly seated cable pin short?I'll open my computer tomorow at the morning and check for any shorting wire.may it be an unproperly seated gpu ? I broke accidentally a little plastic stuff on the pci slot (the thing on the right side that clip) while installing it but I have put it back carefully and pressed gently.it didn't clipthough... thanks ☺

Sorry for the double post but I did bill test about the ups. I removed the ups from the wall and turned it on with the pc on.then tested it using a screwdriver tester on a screw at the back.the screw didn't light.then I've pit the ups on ground and the test was so bright that it was gonna electrocute me.(for the test I removed my speaker and have put the monitor on the same ups.)I removed the ups plug and put it with the metal on the ground.the screwdriver gave a lower light then after that redid the same and it gave no light. Repeated the test 2 times with same results.what does it mean?also what can I do ti fix it

You have a UPS that plugs in to a2 pin outlet ?, what the heck. All UPS systems should be on a 3 pin connected directly to the wall outlet and if thats not possible due to the socket on your wall being only 2 pin you should not be plugging a PC in to it.

Any thing that requires 3 pin socket should never be by passed with a extension cord or a like so it can be used.

Guys I just payed attention to something.my case comes with preplaced standoffs but two extra standoffs that I installed.if all the tray holes have standoffs.what is the extra ones for? £
Should I remove the 2 standoffs I installed on the already placed ones?may thus standoffs were meant for matx or so?

Three points define a plane , so 3 standoffs are needed at least

Also : i would check with another PSU to rule out it is the culprit . Then or even first get a screwdriver (mains tester) with LED and see whether it will light up in both holes of the outlet

After looking briefly into the tray layout I've found that I should remove those standoffs as they are meant for matx use and should not be here. I'll have a hard time to unseat the gpu ect and the board but well better safe than sorry.does I have to check anything other than the standoff/gpu seat/cable properly connected?Ill do all this then later today I'm going to a electricIan guy to see what to do.will keep you guys updated.

So I opened the case. Cleaned some dirt and reseated the board without the useless standoffs.reseated all my fans and turned it down to see if everything work fine. My front case fan stopped working ... luckily I had a smaller 120mm one as spare and replacement it.I just wish nothing else will get toasted by this electronic problem till I get a ground. I'm not happy with what's happening. If I fix the ground and the electrocuting is still here what shold I look for?thanks guys

This should not be difficult to figure out. You need a standoff under EVERY motherboard mounting hole. It is important to understand these points on the motherboard are "common ground" points for various circuits on the board. The purpose of the standoffs is not just to mount the motherboard while preventing component leads poking under the board from touching and shorting out on the case. The standoffs also are used ground the motherboard's "common ground" points to the case ground, establishing a common ground through the board and case. Now as you noted, your case comes with standoffs in the motherboard tray. This is why your case only came with two extra standoffs. It is possible, you only need to install one. You said you installed two. You must verify it is where your motherboard has a mounting hole and that you have screwed a motherboard mounting screw through the motherboard and into that (both) standoffs.

So the greater issue is to ensure you don't have any extra, or some other foreign object stuck under your tray.
If I fix the ground and the electrocuting is still here what shold I look for?
I say one step at a time. You need to verify your wall outlet is wired correctly. Can you take your computer to someone else's house?

Its probably unlikely because almost all our houses here on lebanon are 2 prong only.some new building does come with 3 prong though not in my region. I removed all standoffs because I've found 2 holes for them and it's matx.I remember that I have an extra 140mm with my sister. I'll change 120mm one and put the 140mm in place.any idea guys about if I can fill a warranty claim to be quiet without sending the whole case?I don't even think it's worth it to rma my fan XD(don't look at me like that ).I still don't know why the fan died.electrocuting case? Unlikely...a short on the circuit?I don't think so but maybe...im just preoccupied that like a fan got friend a board or gpu van also fry...guys any idea about how to put a ground for the new outlet? I can't actually change all the house wiring as it include wrecked walls.is it nescesary foe a pc to have a 8 feet grounding rod?or is it possible to work with 3-4feet?

A few years ago, I moved to a house that was built in the 1950's, and it still had the original ungrounded 2-prong outlets. Since grounded outlets are required for surge protectors and UPS devices, I bought some copper grounding rods and bare copper ground wire at Home Depot and grounded all the outlets used for PC, TV, and audio gear. I just drove the rods 3 feet into the ground outside the house, then ran the bare copper ground wire inside and along the baseboards to the outlets. Everything worked great and nothing was ever fried by power surges or lightning.
In your situation, it sounds like your outlets are wired wrong (hot and neutral are swapped), because that's the only way you would feel a shock.

you removed the stand offs?! WHY? I explicitly stated you NEED those! You ideally have a stand off under every mount hole on a motherboard. DO NOT bolt your motherboard DIRECTLY TO THE MOTHERBOARD TRAY!

after reading the review about my case It say the 2 included standoffs are for matx boards not atx like mine and if I have an atx board I do not need them cz its pre-built into the tray as the review says.it's from a trusted site.also placing extra standoffs above the standoffs was a bad idea as it could have made a short on the other side.

what do you mean by swapped hot and neutral?it's 2 prong so it can be plugged in two ways actually so I don't understand your point. Anyway I'm wiring a new outlet for my pc very soon.what ups would you recommend me buying?it should be listed here: www.pcandparts.com so I can buy it in my region.(sorry for website quote).I'd like to understand what you mean by swapped hot and neutral.thanks
I Dont think that the computer shops here can fix it. I told them and they just told me that it's a gpu driver issue...if you know what I mean.

It's the middle east one. Here you can't trust a pc shop for this as they can easily swap half the expensive parts and put dangerous stuff ect. And Gratz you just lost 2k $.they even recommended me a thermaltake psu over seasonic and said that after market gpu are #^@+ and I should only buy the original gpu from nvidia and lots of stuff like that. I don't trust them so tpu is my last ressort.thanks guys

If the case come with pre-placed standoffs on the atx holes whats wrong with it?ill put the link to the review if necessary...
"The motherboard tray doesn’t feature traditional standoffs, but rather the in-tray standoff design we’ve become used to with various cases. This is a great design choice, as it saves time and will ensure a more stable motherboard installation, as there won’t be any crooked standoffs. I’ve always disliked standoffs, as they tend to get stuck on their screws when removing boards, creating more trouble than should be necessary when swapping motherboards" from http://www.legitreviews.com/quiet-silent-base-800-pc-case-review_168272/3#zDbKSRw0xMuaoGuS.99

I’ve always disliked standoffs, as they tend to get stuck on their screws when removing boards, creating more trouble than should be necessary when swapping motherboards" from http://www.legitreviews.com/quiet-silent-base-800-pc-case-review_168272/3#zDbKSRw0xMuaoGuS.99

ok perfect thank you. I thought you meant the plastic ATX guide nipples some cases have, in that case it wouldnt be enough.

I've said that twice now, lol

Doesn't really seem like OP wants to solve the issue.

When trouble shooting, you start at the source. That is the basic of basics. In this case, it's the 2 prong outlet. He isn't doing that.

You need this

fitted to your dwelling and it needs to be connected to your Electrical supply system by a competent Electrician you then need electrician to wire in one of these

and you wire your pc up like this

You then might be SAFE to sort out your PC

To solve the outlet problem I'll need some time. In that time I wont be using the pc so it's not a problem but as I'm saying it's not as easy here to do it in 24h I need 2 weeks at least.it's on the do it list anyway now bug I'm looking at any other issues in the pc at the same time to be sure of everything.
