My Western Digital RMA Status situation!

Hi guys!

I opened and advance rma with WD cause my 74gb raptor just died! The rma was created on the 20th may. The rma status says a new raptor drive was shipped on the 25th may and till now I am stil lwaiting for it to arrive!

I live in malta (europe) and wondering where the heck and why the new drive is taking so long to arrive!

I don`t know from which country the new drive is shipped europe or usa?

My RMA label says I have to ship back my defective drive to germany so I can only think the new raptor is shipped from germany aswell considering i live in europe!

The frustrating thing is that i cannot track my drive! WD ships the drive via UPS and when I click to track my drive from within the rma status page i get this error on the ups web tracking site: >>> UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again.

anyone has got this same experience like me?

also anyone know how to contact rma support in europe? directly by email (no the wd support cause it is very slow to get feedback)

Unless you did an advanced rma, they need the defective drive before they ship a new/refurb back to you. iirc, you need a credit card for advanced rma, so if you used one when filling out your forms, you most likely submitted an advanced rma, in which case, call WD to see what is happening.

Last one I did I had to pay to ship to their facility, and they sent one back at their own cost.

Benchmark Scores 31 FPS in Dalaran.
When you get that message from UPS it means the package hasn't been shipped. You likely have to ship the defective drive to them first.

NO!! i did and advance rma and they already shipped a new raptor drive according to the rma status page!

The return address to ship my faulty drive back once I get the new one is located in germany (germany warehouse) where i think they will check the drive and lift the hold on my credit card

10days have passed since wd shipped my new raptor and still not arrived! WTF??? even tracking with ups is unuavailable! sucks!!!

I be better off with a emailing directly to the rma warehouse to see what is happening! cause wd support is very slow

so do that. im not sure what your asking us to do i guess? i mean. my RMA's have always taken around 2 weeks. i just kinda chill and wait after 2 weeks ill throw a few e-mails back and fourth.

I emailed wd support yesterday and told me to reply soon regarding my rma and tracking status

I guess that if the new drive is shipped from europe it will take less time rather if it will be shipped from the US

Held up in customs most likely. There's nothing TPU can do about it, keep on them through emails.
