Ns2 is under paid development again. I don't know how many here even knew ns2 never stopped being developed with the community development team. UWE has now hired some of the community developers to work on the game.

If you are interested there is now an official ns2 discord server. Here is the invite link. Discord is an app that is like skype and IRC had a child. A lot of the community hangs out there right now. Come join and check it out.
If you have not played in awhile, ns2's performance has increased quite a bit. Loading times have also improve significantly.
If you are interested I took a bunch of screenshots of ns2 at max settings with 4k resolution. You can look at the imgur album here.
