Interesting.

I have a fan blowing acrossed both my ram and northbridge too. Doesn't seem right for 60C.

EDIT:
FYI, pay no attention to cpu temps, I am transcoding video at this time.

I did not even bother taking the HSF off and adding any MX2 it has stock thermal paste and well I never see 60c seems way high to me . Room temp is from 70F to 74F and well I never get above 35c .

Well there you go, get some vinyl washers a few screws and couple nuts. Redo the northbidge heatsink retention. Another alternative, replace the heatsink altogether. Personally I am anal about chipset temperatures on a motherboard.

Remember the 7 series chipsets are much hotter than intels.

I thought the Mars is a P35 chipset based board? :wtf:

Why not take the NB HSF off place some good thermal paste on it and reapply it then let us know how that does ? And also take a picture of your NB HSF and post it as well .

Well if it gets too hot it will . say 80c or more it could . But as far as I know it can take up to 100-150c and still be fine . but man do some thing to cool it off at the very least put some MX2 or AS5 thermal paste on it sounds to me like they may not have applied the thermal paste correctly .

well i can apply, but i think the foxconn company has done it correctly i thik the prob is the climate here, and other foxconn mars user's NB temp is 50C like , in other countries , but u know 50C and 65C is not much different :

So again what is the problem then ? if you think that it is fine then why waste my time ( and others ) if 50c is not that much of a difference from 60c ? if it is running at 60c and I ( and many others ) have suggested ways to fix it and you say this then what is the point of this thread ? :shadedshu

The chipsets will also begin to throttle, similar to a cpu when it gets too hot so you might start seeing stuttering in games or just loss of performance in general.

I always change the thermal paste and replace pushpins with a nut & bolt. Works a treat. :)

The problem seems to be an unwillingness to take the advice of the members and more about whining about the fact that the foxConn is a hot mobo to get .
Seems like I am pissing in hand here . :twitch:
