need a better water block

I just installed a Thermaltake Big water 760i and the water block that was included looks real cheap and had a small bur on the bottom side of it..
All is working fine but I'd like to get advice on a good water block to buy.
Besides how tight are you suppose to tighten the block down?
Dang manual didn't even say..

The article posts all the pros about the waterblock but not the cons so I really can't help you with that. Overall thats a great waterblock although I haven't seen that one.

Enzotech makes pretty good memory heatspreaders. they are only one of 2 or 3 companies that actually make copper heatspreaders.

i vote dtek fusion v1 or 2 doest matter both are good blocks. it will take a few hours for all the large bubbles to work out. altho the small bubbles take a bit longer. the small ones almost make the fluid look milky. if you turn the pump off for 10 or 15 minutes every hour or so it will speed up the process.

all the blocks listed by the other posters are good blocks, way better than the TT one you have now. all will perform withing a close amount to each other, and cost about the same. so the choice really is which one you prefer looks wise.

Hey Christine money really isn't an issue here... I just want something thats going to work best of the best... the only reason i installed a on board h2o cooler is for portability... I'll be soon adding a second radiator to the back of the tower just to give me the additional heat dissipation and more liquid volume.

Fully agree with Spearman. There is a copper version of this too (GTX Cu), but all in all either is a fantastic choice, the cream of the crop. (Note. do not get the Apogee GT, make sure to get the GTX)

thanks Theonetruewill.... I checked and didn't see adapters for the Amd2
I'm running the Asus m3a32-mvp 790fx
it talks about Intel and Amd but didn't see the amd2 support.
First day in the pool and for what i have and with the amd o/d stress and multiple programs running It's at a solid 50c.... Beats the 65c using the V1 fan...
My office is pretty warm though with a reef tank in here causing high humidity
You think adding a rear bolt on radiator with a 120mm fan on the rear of the case piped in with the 760i will drop the temps even more?

the EK supreme/Dtek fuzion/ Apogee GTX are all great blocks, with the Dtek pulling ahead by at least 5c. I would PM fitseries3 and make a deal with him for that dtek fuzion.

With that Thermaltake pump, avoid the EK Supreme like the plague. It's a high restriction block, and I can almost guarantee that TT pump will either fall on it's face, or die in short order.

Get the DTek Fuzion.

Why not the GT, its still one of the best blocks on the market, and is a hell of a lot cheaper than the all copper (and prohibitively expensive) gtx, and a bit cheaper than the fuzion or ek supreme

I have had a lot of success with Swiftech. The Appogee GT, GTX, and GTX Cu all perform about the same. 4 Degrees Difference at the top for the GTX Cu, however not the most cost effective compared to the GT.

$80 vs $50 and only 3-4 Degree Celcius difference.

there are 2 metal " H " plates one for behind the mobo and the other for the front , then put 4 screws and thiert bolts..presto.

Either one will be fine. If you can find V1 for much cheaper, get it. If they are around the same price, you might as well get V2.
