I'm building a budget gaming rig and looking at cases. As of right now, I have decided to go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133194&Tpk=overseer%20rx-i, but I'm hoping to save a few bucks maybe and get a mid-tower. I need it to have features like a side window, few fans, and EXCELLENT cable management. I normally try to stay away from mid-towers because I see their cable management as non-existent but maybe I missed a case in my search!

I am shopping for a case also. I have a full size now thats about 8 years old. I realized after looking as the sizes that the Mid sized now is the same size as my full size. And the full size are huge

I had a HAF X and absolutely loved it.

u want a GPU for not more than 100$ according ur thread

but u r willing to spend $120+ on ur case.. are u planning to use the 100$ GPU in this case?
am i missing something here bcos I feel u could slightly cut down on the case & get a better GPU

You're right. I could totally get a case for $30 and add 70 to my video card. Then I wouldn't be happy with what I built. I'm not willing to let me case look like complete trash to squeeze out 4 more fps in the one game I play (Diablo 3). I currently play that game on an Intel Celeron B815 1.6GHz, 4GB RAM, Integrated Grahpics laptop and maintain 18-20fps. I believe a $100 video card will increase that fps performance by more than enough for my standards. I'm not asking you to agree on my budget for parts. I'm merely looking for help with the budget I have selected. Like I also said, I want my case to look good and to be proud of it too. I don't want some windowless hunk of junk that just hides it's flaws inside to get 4 more fps.

:shadedshu;)Shameless

With more pre-installed fans, I'd look into something from Fractal Design. They usually come with 3 fans which in my opinion is plenty for a decent airflow (especially in a budget gaming rig). Rear exhaust+top B exhaust + side fan, should suffice in any gaming conditions. And they are not very expensive: Fractal Design Arc Midi Black High Performance PC ... . Do you really want a side window? :)

I'll take a peak at them. Thank you. What I'm looking for in a case is: cable management>>airflow>>window in that order of importance.

edit: For that price, I would rather just stick with the Tt Overseer. It's $10 more and then I get a $20 MIR.

The case is one of the few things that would likely last longer in your build than any other thing, so getting the right one from the start is a good proposition. I kept my last case for 10 years, got it for my Northwood rig, then kept it for my C2D E4600 and Q6700 rigs. I still have it to house my AGP rig.

As I see it, the three foundations of a good build are 1) good case 2) good PSU 3)good motherboard as any of those things have a great impact on your upgrade options.

im selling mine if your intrested mate pm me will send you link to some pics
