Hi TPU.

I recently finished Dragon Age 2, and after being fairly disapointed with the sequal i am looking for a similar, party-based and modern-ish WRPG to keep me occupied over the easter holidays. I have already played Dragon age 1 and awakening to death and completed Dungeon Siege 1/2 several times. Am i stuck with replaying DA2? Because i really do not want to

Granado Espada? It's an MMO where you constantly have a party of 3, all controlled by you. Very grind heavy, but it makes up for it by the fact that you have to monitor 3 characters at once. Even if you party with another player, they also have a team of 3. Unlockable NPC characters can join your team, the art style is different, the soundtrack was done with collaboration from DJ Tiesto. I used to play it a lot but kind of fell out of it when I started playing FFXI.

Just an idea. EDIT: Also it is Free to Play. I used to play on the Malaysian servers only because when the US version launched they were going to cap people at level 20 unless you paid. I don't know if that has changed.

Impulse has the Focus Home Interactive RPG bundle on sale for $15.98 this weekend
I think this includes "Silverfall", "Silverfall : Earth Awakening" and "Loki".
I bought it awhile back and they are entertaining. Not top of the line, but for $16 I can't complain.

They also have Mass Effect 2, Digital Deluxe Edition on sale for $19.99 this weekend.

Baldur's Gate and its sequel Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn are awesome RPG's and are very cheap at Good old Games. They're dated, sure, but still awesome.

mmmm. Divinity 2: Ego Draconis ? If you like impossible to beat games. Or maybe Mass Effect ? Not exactly a wrpg more like an RPG/shooter hybrid. It's also party based !

Considering it's hard enough finding decent RPGs that aren't consolised out the ass, let alone party-based ones, gl! :laugh:

But OT; Have you tried Mount & Blade: Warband? Isn't exactly party based, since you have an entire army with you instead.. but it is still very much a third/first person RPG [which has RTS elements, though], and decent, for that matter. And a "massive" modding community if you're into that.
You do get 'officers/companions' with their own skills which you level up, and you have to organise their armour/weapons, etc.

Otherwise, there really isn't much that hasn't already been mentioned/you've played, imo..

Drakensang: The Dark Eye

Pretty much party based and control your party kind of thing.

The dice mechanics is built from the ground up, so its kind of refreshing from the DnD system.. Its kind of frustrating sometimes, since the chances of whacking someone is hard, even for a dex type character, youd feel youd need to roll 18 on a 3d6 just to make a hit o_0

Pretty much like your biosware stuff gameplay as well (pausing then queuing up the moves)

The game tastes very euro though. Cheezy dialogues, lots of grass etc, UI very reminiscent of other euro titles etc.

Its kind of a bit open ended, so expect to get lost on where to go next and stuff like that.
