Need a splitter Y cable for dell c600 latitude for case and cpu fan 5v.

I can't find a 1 female to 2xmale splittler cable to connect two fans for cpu and chasis to the 5v fan port. One fan already there for cpu not the other for chasis that's been missing for 10 years that I plan to have active every time the cpu fan is active by attaching the splitter.
check photos. will it work? or create a shortage of volts? I only find the bigger cable splitter for desktop ones. Hoping is a good idea.

I don't know what that cable would be called. I can't really tell exactly what it is. Is it just a small extension? Or a 3 to 4 pin converter? Or does it adapt the female end to a smaller size female end? Like this(except 3 pin)?

Find the LPT or Serial port that has a 12v on it then solder wires there. So when you start laptop the fan starts and anyway who still uses these ports?

@E-Bear only the one shows on pic. there is another similar one but that's for the cmos battery, may not be 12v. ARE these fans cpu and case using 12v or 5?

It's almost certainly stated on the fans themselves. But you could also power it on and use a voltmeter.

I'd do what micropage7 says--it probably won't be fun finding the parts, unless you know of a place, or have lots of spares. Maybe @micropage7 knows of a place?

I feel like my modding is gonna suck for the fan cables. but I'll try it, just looking online found these:

However, it seems that the "chassis" fan you want is this one http://www.pchub.com/dell-latitude-c600-cooling-fan-kd0501pfb3-8-p11096 which is 5V, not 12V.
That said, the CPU fan appears to be 5V too so...

isn't it 12v tho? because it uses the 3 wires and yellow and red wires??
and yea the chasis fan I just bought is 5v too! and my cpu fan is 5v too I just checked.

I looked on ebay and amazon and newegg, only found laptop cpu fan asemblys which have them by lots but yet only female header side not both or in a Y splitter version.

i think if you find 2 adapters you can splice them both together to build a y spitter and have one end extended to reach to where the small sunon fan goes. i plan to do this with my own C600 because mine was a model that didnt have the same fan for the GPU

I got rid of the laptop last year cause, even tho the fan I installed for the gpu worked next mini pci card for it kinda made the mobo fail so I went who cares. Still laptop was a pentium 3 and very slow at anything, my brother gave me a third generation icore7 qm for free that has 2 usb3 ports and I'm like yupii

oof nasty. i hope my mod doesnt fry my C600 as i use it for playing Vintage 3D accelerated games such as HL and Doom, and it goes get toasty
