3dmark 2005 is good all round gaming performance indicator..

i would say u should get the x850xt unless u can mess with the pro and unlock pipelines and such..

ya you already told me you got this and i know it doesnt unlock, but is it PCI-E or AGP.. because no PCI-E x850 pro's unlock from what iv seen...

x850 pro > XT = small difference, just overclock the hell out of the pro, mabey 540/570 or something around that,

I need to note this, even if the card can be "stable" at high clocks doesnt always mean its better. My x850 pro clocks to 612/600 "stable" but it gets lower FPS avg in the CSS Stress test + 3dmark 05. 540/567 is the highest i can go so where it doesnt get lower FPS.

How much is the change going to cost you after you pay to ship the card back, a re-stocking fee, the difference in price between the two cards, and the S&H to ship the new card to you? I really don't think it is that cost effective.

Is the core R480? Then 16 pipeline should be possible. Otherwise, maybe more like "possibility"...

Yeah, I know. It's a 480 core x850Pro Vivo PCI-Ex and judging from W1zzards guide, I can unlock this beast.

You might end up spending more and waiting for something tat is basically the exact same... I'd recommend a simple unlock from a firmware flash and simple overclock. You could even have a default overclock written direct in the firmware. If you want, get a 2 sloot cooler exhaust like the Silencer 5 rev 2 which is basically even better than what you get from stock ATI cards.

    Your call dude.

I know this already :p but thanks anyways.
I wasn't shure if it had ViVo or not when I ordered it, that's why I was wondering if I should send it back when it comes. But it came, and it had ViVo so it's all good :)

Just to tell you that you probably even have a better deal than my X800GTO2 which has a crippled R480 (can't overclock much past 520mhz). YOu have a fully functionning and overclockable R480 that can reach 600mhz with a silencer 5 rev 2, I am positive.

    Just took off heatsink...
    The memory is 1.6ns
The core has no laser cut.
